Anyone reading the thread 'I feel awful' will know that my 15 year old nephew has just been bailed to appear before the courts again.

He was due to become a dad in 3 weeks time. He was coming here tomorrow to stay for a week but i've just had a call to say her waters have broken and baby is on the way.

Another sleepless night waiting for news.

We will be driving down to Poole in the morning.

I'm going to be a great-aunt again to a little boy :-4:-4:-4:-4

I looked at the pic sent on my phone a few minutes after baby was born and it hit me how tragic it is that he's likely to be jailed. Whatever happens, he has people who love him more than the world and were all here for him.

Congrats to Craig, Kayleigh & Craig the 3rd! A beautiful baby boy born on the 29th/March.:) He's a good sized baby at 7+ plus pounds. Make sure you buy him some stuff for 3-6 months old as he will grow so fast out of the newborn stuff.

Yes, considering her age and that she was just under 3 weeks early, baby was a whopper. I'm sure that's why they performed a ceasarian but i'll find out more when i see her.

Trust me, I have much experience of buying baby clothes in my family :wah: I always buy the next sized up and 6-9 months as well. Your right, they don't last five minutes do they? :wah:

Craig 3rd was about the same as my C at birth. Sounds like he was right on time. My older one L was due on 11/4 but came on 11/23 weighing in at 7lbs, 10-oz. My doctor at the time was a little looney:wah::rolleyes:. The monster doc, never went back to him again.

Can you imagine if they had waited 3 weeks? OMG, he would have been around 9 lbs! Well, I've had a c-section once with L...mostly because she wouldn't budge down the canal:wah:. The next two came out with the forceps & Q came out without any intervention. Perfect! Took 12 hours, but hey better than a c-section. The last 3 were vbacs.

This week I wanted him jailed to face up to his crimes but the moment baby arrived, i don't want baby to be without his father.

I'm in no doubt that his lawyer will put this forward when he appears before the courts in April.

I look at him and all i see is a child as well. Hopefully, he's had a kick up the butt now he has a son,

It's a heck of a co-incidence that he was arrested, charged etc this week and her waters broke days later. He put me through hell when he was arrested again so i can't imagine what it did to her, especially as it seemed to have an influence on him and he hasn't been arrested for anything for months.

Something interesting happened last night. We have all been bashing our heads as to why he is such a rogue and on a path of self-destruct. He was due to come here for a week to give my sis a break from him but he obviousley had to cancel when Kay's waters broke. I told him last night that i would be down very soon and the very first thing he asked was 'Uncle Pete will be coming as well won't he?' Hmmmmmm that's got me thinking :thinking:

What got me thinking about what he asked, was the last time he stayed with me, he wanted to know where Pete was all the time. Pete took him off fishing some days but if Pete was going to the supermarket say, rather than wait in the house with us, he'd insist accompanying Pete. Even if he was going very boring places, Craig would rather go with him than anywhere else.

There was one touching moment one morning. Craig was playing games on the pc and without taking his eyes off the screen, he said, 'Have you taken your heart pill Uncle Pete'?

I'm just thinking that maybe He see's something in Pete that he doesn't see elsewhere and Pete might be able to get through to the little fecker.

When Craig was a small child, he was one of few Grandchildren at the time and my father spent a huge amount of time with him taking him off fishing and camping. Over the years, the family has expanded widely. When my father dies, maybe Craig's grief was over-looked because he was just a child. He may see Pete as the grandfather he misses. I don't know as he doesn't open up to talk. He is very closed in that respect.

Thanks. Whatever happens, him, Kay and Baby are well supported in the family.

Well maybe Pete can give him the talking that needs talking. Maybe Craig sees something in Pete that gives him insight to the world and has the same interests as him. O maybe you should back off a bit and let Pete have him for the week. You never know. I mean really, and I know this is going to sound weird, but what if they all moved in with you? Craig, Kay & babes? Do you have room for them? You never know what might come out that arrangement.

I could not have a baby in the house on a permanent basis as we have 3 dogs. My dogs have never bitten and love children but i would just never take that for granted. When the small one's visit, all 3 dogs are put in the yard which is fenced and they don't come into the house at all. I don't believe for a moment that any of of them would be capable but it is just one chance that i would never take however much the dogs whinge when they are shut out.

There is the idea that we could get them an apartment close to us..... that's a possibility.

I realize that Craig is only 15yrs but yeah, maybe an apartment nearby close to you and Pete might be a good idea. It will get them both (the new parents) out of regular crap going on. They need to focus on lil Craig. I've been down this road with L (I had her young & lived in J's mom's apt complex). I wouldn't worry about the dogs though....dogs usually protect young ones.

Although 'Mulder' has never bitten and plays with kids, he is also difficult, extremely territorial and gets jealous easily. I couldn't take the risk sadly.
