I pop by occassionally and play a few games and my daughter often plays games here using my account, but I don't post very often. I must join in more as I do miss being here and there are some lovely folks on the forum at the moment.

I'm sitting here at the moment drinking a lovely cup of tea that my daughter made me. I'm surrounded by lots of beautiful cards. My favourite is from my best friend Sarah. It has a picture of a cute lamb on the front with a big woolly scarf around its neck and this poem underneath:

Mary had a little lamb

She tied it to a pylon

10,000 volts shot up its bum

and turned its wool to nylon. :wah:

I creased up when I saw it! :yh_rotfl

I also liked the card from hubby. It has a picture of a cute cartoon lady sitting on a mega huge bar of chocolate and saying MEN are like CHOCOLATE.....

and inside it reads: ...you find them in bars, they head straight for your thighs and they never last long enough to satisfy you. It's kind of tongue-in-cheek for him and it made me laugh.

I also have a DS game that I've been dying to play - Professor Layton and the Curious Village; a couple of books by Marianne Curley, I've read The Named, the first in a trilogy, and loved it and hubby bought me the next 2 books, The Dark and The Key, so I'll start reading those in bed tonight as hubby is working nights.

I've also got a beautiful bouquet of orchids, which I love, and bunches and bunches of daffodils as its St. Davids day (and I love them too!). I've also been given boxes of chocolates, books, jewellery, money, theatre tickets, balloons and I was given a huge bowl of strawberries and cream in bed this morning! So all-in-all I've done very well today and am one happy (though older! ) bunny!

So thankyou Chezzie for starting a thread which is the icing on my cake! :-4

As I haven't posted in ages I didn't honestly think I'd be remembered, so it was lovely to see this thread! Hugs!

I know things aren't going too well for you at the moment, although I think everyone is struggling right now and worrying about the future. I hope things work out well for you. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers as I know what its like to go through some tough times and I know how depressing life can be when we're loaded down with so many worries. Take care of yourself and don't leave FG (should you be thinking about it). I always found joy here, even when I was just reading posts and feeling too down to contribute. Thank you for your words of comfort. I'll be fine. For some reason, despite everything, my faith doesn't waver (though I've even had a go at the Universal Spirit recently). I've had a reply in the form of 3 images. Two I've worked out but one I can't. It's a Romany gypsy dancer. I simply cannot figure out what that one means.



Anyway, it's still your birthday. Have you blown out the candles on your cake yet?:wah:

I'm glad your faith is strong. I don't know what the Universal Spirit is but would be interested to learn about it. It would also be interesting to know what images you've had and what they mean? Only if you feel you can discuss it of course. Maybe the Romany gypsy dancer is telling you you should have your fortune told or your tarot read to guide you on your future path? Who needs money when you can have anything you want through visualisation.

The meanings of the images are personal so please forgive me if I don't post the meanings. The other two images were a native American Indian who was sometimes sad and sometimes angry. The other one was a praying Buddhist monk.

I have never explained the Universal Spirit to anyone. That would take a bit of time to tease out all the associations. In general, for me, it is the sum of everything in life, the universe, and everything (but not 42:D).
