So now that l have graduated and am a solid member of society, yeah allright nomad stop laughing!!

A friend of mine also a student at my old uni is trying to get her apartment/flat sorted.

So she decided to replace some tired looking furniture. So off she went ordered said furniture and it came on hte delivery day during hte correct hours etc..just one snag.... it was all flat packed!!!

as in put it together yourself... not a problem l hear hordes of you cry, and no for a good few of us there isn't a problem. For my friend how ever a major problem, she suffers from arthiritis, badly....

So along comes Venus on Saturday with her trusty tool box, and voila many many many !!!! (get hte drift) hours later sevaral bits of furniture standing proud...

now apart from the wrist ache..(don't go there ) and a slightly sore back lm fine..but irritated..

why ohh why can any one tell me is it that regulary there are too many or to few scres, bolts etc..pre drilled holes in wrong place's!!!

why is it a diagram will be back wards or just plane incorrect, wrong screw shown etc..

Those things are often hard enough to read, but when they also gets bits wrong..well lve decided it really p***es me off!!!

just plain gets my goat!!!

argghh lve even made silly spelling mistakes a day later l get so urgghed about it..l am leaving them in out of principal!!

so come on FGers, do they drive you nuts...

if not that then what does just get your goat!!!:-5

Hi venus, LOL, I know exactly what you are talking about when you mention too many or not enough bolts, screws etc. I've had my share of problems until my daughter said to me one day, "mom just look at the picture like you do a dress you want to make". Until such time I had to have my daughter help me with the assembly of such things as she reads blueprints. Now if I can look at the final picture I can generally manage to get it together without much problem.

What gets my goat? Stores asking unreasonable prices for things that only cost a fraction of what they are asking.

For example, for some time now I have needed a tailors body form. The stores selling them are currently asking $400.00. I have looked all over the place hoping that someone may have one of their grandmothers tucked away in the attic, but no luck. I know that they don't cost this much because advertisements in Texas, and in the US in general, are only asking $100.00 (this is for just a plain body form which is what I want). The reason I can't find one is because everyone else is snapping them up because the stores here in Winnipeg want so much.

So that is my beef venus. Stores asking for far more than a product is worth, not only to manufacture but also more than what is a reasonable markup.

yeah stores making more than a reasonable profit sucks..

especially when it's not one of those items that everyone has..ie tailors dummy..

becuase it's a bot more unusual they go into rip off mode!!

yeap that gets a definite gold goat!!

There arent too many bolts and screws and the holes arent in the wrong place.

Think about that for a minute.
