Bit sad in our house today.

I am taking my Jill Russell to be neutered.

She has had 4 litters of puppies & I don't want here to have litter after litter just so we can sell her pups.

I hate having to give any of the pups away,I get to attached to them-1

So this morning on my way to work I am dropping her of & picking her up after work.

I know I have to do this,I was going to get my Jack Russell done but decided other dogs could still get at Jilly so it has to be her.

He is going to my daughters house today as he will fret for her while she is away:-4

She'll be just fine, those bloody head collar things are a nightmare, they crash into everything with them on.

Jill be be alright, she needs this hun, to many litters are hard on her.

when she comes home, she will really be drowsy, just careful you don't let her jump around.:-4

I love Kindle's idea about having Jill take care of a kitten...so I've found a kitten for Jill. Her name is Rose, and I know Jill will love her.

You must mean spayed.. It takes about 2 weeks to get over.

She is doing well.

I made a bed for her in the laundry ,had the water bowl everything laid our so she could have the airconditioning as well,it got to 44.c here today:-6

She wanted to go outside,so out we go.She went straight underneath the rainwater tank & refuses to move.

I have taken her water out & she is happily lying there & wags her tail when I go to check on her,& talk to her.

Must be a bit cooler there & if she is happy I am not moving her.:-4

nice you bad her a comfy bed.

she knew to go pee but she is still drugged up from the anesthetic, be careful she doesn't get over heated outside, for she is very weak.

when each of our cats came home, we were told to keep them indoors for 2 weeks, especially the female as to not get her incision infected.

She won't move & I can't get her to either .

I will keep checking on her & see how she is going.

I will try & coax her out later with a bit of chicken.

Can't give her to much but she may be tempted:-6

have you tried calling her into the house from your door?

or even shake the bag her dog treats are in?

try and get her in hun, she is still so weak and even if she is in the shade, she will be extremely hot outside......not good on an anesthetic.

I won't let her out until the morning.

oooooooooooooooo thank god babe, outside right now is really not good for her, as said, our vets said two weeks before letting them go back outside.

one because of anesthetic....it takes weeks for it to be out of their system

plus, her incision will become infected,

please keep her in, if she has to pee, that's fine, then right back in again!:-4

plus the intense heat you are having is not good when Jill is so weak.

Hope she is doing well. I just wanted to warn you that the aneasthetic does not immediately leave the body. It can take weeks to slowley come out. Don't be alarmed if she is lethargic for a few weeks, some people panic. It doesn't happen in all cases but some dogs do take longer to get rid of it than normal. It can include her going off her food as well. Please remember that she has been cut inside also and although and she may have belly ache foe some weeks.

Jilly is doing well this morning:-4:-4

I put her lead on her 7 took her out for a quick walk.

She is not interested in food today,but that is fine,she will eat when she is ready.

I have filled her water & thrown a few iceblocks in there for her.

Having had a hysterectomy myself I do feel for Jilly,so I am being extra careful with her as I know how I felt after that op;)

Poor Jack is fretting & howling away,but I have made a swimming pool for him to play in today so that will keep him happy.

I will be home at lunch time to check on them as we are hitting out peak hot day today supposed to be 46.c.

I have left the laundry door open so the aircon can cool both of the dogs.:-6:-6

It's amazing what two days make:D

I am happy to say my little girl is eating,smiling,& happy to go out & spend some time with Jack.

She looks a whole lot better today,hasn't tried to get at her stitches .

thank you MrsK. There really isn't a bond stronger than the one between a dog and his owner other than the one between family.

So happy that Jilly is better. I also hope some cooler air settles in there soon. Must be awful in that sort of heat.

SO VERY VERY HAPPY TO HERE JILLY IS DOING GOOD MRSK ITS AWFUL TO SEE THEM IN PAIN.MY JACK HURT HIMSELF YESTERDAY,PULLED A LIGEMENT IN HIS SHOULDER AND ANKE,SO OFF TO THE VET THIS MORNING HES ON PAIN KILLERS AND LIMPING AROUND FEELING VERY SORRY FOR HIMSELF LOL.wE FEEL SO MUCH FOR OUR PETS AND THATS SO NICE,GLAD TO HEAR JILLYS NOT BITING HER STICHES THEY CAN GET VERY ITCHY FOR THEM,BUT SHE'S ON THE MEND WITCH IS THE MAIN THING.:-4:-4:-4:-4
