I haven't been around much, been busy with kids activities, weddings and such. However one scary thing going on is that my dh, firebird, has dropped 40lbs in the last few months for no reason. His appetite has also gone to nothing. It's scary to see him going from eating 2 full plates of food, to barely eating one plate of food.

He went to dr last week. She's concerned about the weightless, loss of appetite, and the fact that he's had an ongoing pain in his side. He had some bloodwork done Saturday, and tomorrow goes for a CAT scan. I actually feel bad for him. The creamy vanilla barium sitting on top of my fridge does not look to tempting.

Scenarios laid out to us are that it's just stress and depression, diabetes, thyroid disorder, and the worst cancer. I've been praying that it's just stress and depression. Never thought I'd be praying for a person to have that, but here I am doing it.

So please need some positive beams/prayers, for him, for me, for our family.

You might also consider Coeliac disease as a possible contender - my Godfather went down with it and the weight dropped off of him until they worked out what it was.

call him for a verbal tomorrow, here, tests take up to 10 days to get to the doctors office, so when I am worried, I just call, the secretary will call where he got the CT down and ask for the results.

Just letting you guys know that I thank you for the prayers and positive beams. We met with the dr yesterday and all the tests were ok. In fact, firebirds bloodwork was perfect according to the dr. He's to keep taking the antidepressant and return to the dr in a month to check for anymore weight loss.

I've never been greatful that someone would just be depressed and stressed, but I am.

Firebird went back to the dr yesterday. He's lost 5 more pounds. She thinks he may have Marfan's syndrome now. He goes for a echogram of heart Monday. So if you can send some more prayers and beams this way, we sure would appreciate it.

Yes he's 6'6, double jointed, ect. He does have alot of the physical characteristics for Marfan syndrome.

There's no meds or anything. From what I've read so far it's mainly yearly exams and tests to make sure everything is ok.

Not sure, will have to wait and see what doctor says and what his echogram shows.
