Education is never a waste. Even if you never use it professionally, as a mother you would have better tools in raising the next generation. Or, in your interaction with others, the more you know, the better prepared you are to make a difference in this world.

We don't have your system...everything for students is free...the government pays for it. I suggest you lobby your government. By the way, our health care is free also.

sounds about right, my nephew went to university for a 4 year course at 10,000 per year..........40,000 is huge debt to pay off when starting his first job, but it has paid off big time for him........he is making well over 130,000 per year after many head hunters tracked him down, so yes, education is important, everyone needs a good income to survive nowadays.

it's so funny though cause last year the school said i overpaid and gave me 3 thousand dollars that i spent on two classes so it was pretty sweet... but still c'mon. it's a lot of money i'm going to have to pay when i get out of school... and with my job opportunity's... can i really pay it?

Some 17 year olds start college with a specific goal in mind like becoming a teacher, lawyer, doctor, accountant etc. and with some idea of what these careers pay. Others start college with the idea of just taking anything to get a degree and then getting married and having children. Some are goal oriented and some not.

Do you work during the school year and summer, to pay for some of the fees?

Or take some of the classes at a community college in the summer, for a lesser fee? Those are choices you can make now while attending college.

It always is worth it in the end, Skittles. I never took out a loan or my kids, we paid as we went. My daughter's college ran about $15,000/year. It was a good thing, she will have a very nice job one day, isn't doing too bad one year after graduation.

I want to get into broadcasting, radio and television perhaps... at the time i wanted to work in churches but i realistically saw the bills wouldn't get paid just working sundays so, i've been into broadcasting and film...

yep i do, and yeah i have lol i'm taking two right now before i get back to school lol my whole christmas break has been school work and this hahaha
