Chonsi, Do you print the pics out in color and hang them up? I think that I will also do that and look into your other pic that you mentioned.
I hear ya about returning to work on Mon. Then we will have a long, long winter. I'm dreading the ice storms that we have here. My little car does not drive well in bad weather:(

Hello Jim,
If you're a novice and really want to know more about Astronomy you should go to kid's sites at first.....Here's a few sites to get you started.....You have to start reading 1st....
Solar System - Interactive Solar System - By KidsAstronomy.com
Astronomy For Kids
Astronomy for kids online takes you on a tour of the stars and space.
FAQ5: How to Use a Telescope
Here's Dubsy's site for your own stellarium:
Stellarium
Just remember jim that it's hard to tell the difference between stars and planets when you're looking at the sky. Planets shine with reflected light from the sun, and stars are suns as they give off their own light.
You should become a member of NASA and they'll send you loads of good stuff to ponder. They'll tell you when wonderful events are happening in the sky and give you sky charts to look at.
This is the site that sends me all the news....
spaceweather.com.........this is a great site
GOOD LUCK JIMBO....I'll proud of you. May the force be with you...

Oh Chonsi...we just studied the Anasazi's.....the kids will flip for joy seeing this pic. Thank you for sending me this site...I will look at it later on. How do you present this lovely pics to your kidlets???
I think I'll print mine in color, laminate and hang on an outside wall for all the kidlets to look at. The whole school passes my classroom as the library is right across from me.
My wall will be called the title of the poster "The Universe....yours to discover" and then I'll take pics of it to post in FG.

Thanks for the idea.

I make a powerpoint every night, I have a projector from the ceiling that shows the computer screen. Can you believe it, the National Geogrpahic site is blocked at my school! So I copy them every night to show the next day.
