If you could choose the destination of a fully funded full year travel/adventure vacation where would it be and why! You have to stay within the borders of your destination country the full year and all expenses would be paid. I would choose China. Because it's totally opposite of what I am accustomed to here in the heartland. So much to see and do across the country! A culture I am completely unfamiliar with. Where would you choose to spend this Dream Adventure!?

I noticed your exotic seasonal addresses!!! I'm burning with envy! NZ would be a dream for sure. Hats off to you and your retirement! I have 20 years to go, and something tells me I won't be doing as well as yourself!

folks, 'request a new forum here' is for requesting a new top-level forum - a la religion, politics, whatever, under which threads are created by you, the users. when you *start* a new thread in the 'request a new forum here' forum, the FG admins get flooded with copies of each and every post to the topic, because, well, the expectation is that someone is requesting we create a new top level forum, not starting a general thread.

so, the upshot of all this? i'm moving this topic to the 'general chit chat', travel & vacation area.

This was the 1st time I've ever posted a thread and had no idea about the right procedures. Leave it to Anastrophe to find a problem! I won't start any more.

it is neither my intent nor my desire to stop you from starting new threads. simply browse the forums, when you find an area where you want to start a new conversation, click the 'new thread' button. if there is no 'new thread' button, you're at a heirarchy level where you can't start one - just drill a little further down.

Anastrophe is one of the dudes who runs the sight. He wasn't picking on you, just trying to make his own job easier. Methinks you're just a TAD too sensitive. Would you consider it irritating if you got paged for what you thought was something vital and was just a simple human error? Sheesh, it's not like he was "yelling" at you. This happens pretty frequently, and he just reminds everyone when he sees it. :yh_doh

OK maybe I'm a touch cranky today. I didn't know he was a top dog. Great! I'm a Troll to a Top Dog! :-3 I just put up something lite and managed to do that wrong too! Seriously though, I appreciate the pointers and will keep my head low.
