I've noticed quite a few are not sure how this is done.

EX: if Mark sends you a comment:

- to reply, click on HIS name, this brings your reply to his comment page so he can see it.

I think I am having a nervous breakdown here :yh_frustr:yh_rotfl

I have never been able to get that to work either. It just goes to the other persons page, but I dont see where to write anything. I dont get it. We have PM so why not just use that?

as in the beginning I had said, its is supposed to go to the other persons page so they can see your reply........and that is where

you find all others comments.

then, that person will be notified that they have a new comment...have you never noticed a notification in the top right corner

where it says your name,........you must have.

if you/anyone post a reply on their own page, how is the person who left you a comment, supposed to see it ?

now click on Odie right here where it is in my avy.

click on 'view public profile', scroll down......... look for a box, (above that box it says 'statistics,")...... type your reply in that box, and hit 'send message'.



- it will then be on my page so I can see your reply.

This is the page I get when I click on your id. I see no place to write a message.

thats all ok...its just your profile i cant see the comments...I can see the comments on everyone elses page :-3

Odie, you need to check something:

Click on your profile

Click on settings and options

Click on edit options

Scroll down to Visitor Messaging

Make sure there is a check mark by enable visitor messaging

If the enable visitor messaging isn't enabled, no one can leave you a profile page message

Visitor MessagingThis forum features a visitor messaging system that allows members to send messages to one another publicly.

If you do not want to receive visitor messages, you may disable the visitor messaging system.

Enable Visitor Messaging (This one is the one)

You may limit the usage of your visitor messages to just moderators and your contacts. Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators

Make sure the first box is check and NOT the second box. The second box means only Mods or Admin can leave you a visitor message!

Where neither of these boxes checked when people said they couldn't leave you a message?

Never mind my last post. I see you got it sorted out.

I left the post in case others are having the same problem.

I had always had this one checked. --------- I thought it meant no one 'outside of forumgarden' could leave me comments.

I just now unchecked it, 'contacts' means 'friends on your friends lists that you have accepted as friends.'
