Hi there everyone,

Am a previous "lurker" who stumbled upon this site about a week ago and have been bigging myself up to actually join and now I've gone and done it.

As you can probably tell from my name I am indeed from Bonnie (though very cold and wet) Scotland. I was drawn to this sight firstly due to the huge amount of discussion areas available to peruse, plus the fact that there are very many interesting people on here from all over the world. I am thouroughly looking forward to joining in with everyone and posting regularly. :yh_smiley

Oops have just noticed that the wavey smilie that I am using to wave Hi to you all looks a bit angry and dismissive am sorry was supposed to be a friendly wave hello. Will study these more carefully in future.

Hiya Bonniescotslass.. welcome to you and good to see you hooked to turn of message notification, go into "YOUR SETTINGS" then "EDIT OPTIONS" then "messaging notification" and untick it.

Hi and Thankyou Lady Cop, Scotland is indeed a beautiful country especially up north in the Highlands which absolutely takes a person's breath away (and not just because of the wind lol) with it's scenery.

Do you know i read your name and thought....."I didn't post this".....LOL, For years BonnieScotsLass was my chat name until recently i changed it. Welcome to the garden from a fellow scot, there's a few of us here just buzzin around. It's always sunny here! None of the April showers that start in March and end in July.

We certainly are a friendly bunch but don't you find that we get terrible press sometimes busybee? I've heard that all Scot's are tight fisted, mean, drunken redheads lol. I don't know about you but I think Scot's are great people and you often hear people from other Countries declaring in a surprised kinda way that we are the friendlist most generous folk they've met.

PS Do confess to getting a wee bit tiddly now and again right enough :wah:

Yes i don't know where folk get the "tight fisted" bit at all, i could never figure it out. There is one thing though..............i would never admit to getting a "wee bit tiddly", no-one celebrates quite like the scots.....lol the stories i could tell - all in the name of fun of course, and good natured fun at that. Who else celebrates when they lose at football!!!!????
