Factotum, again. It's somewhat like watching a replay of parts of my own life. The ugly parts.

Under the Mistletoe (2006)

Jaime Ray Newman

Michael Shanks

Ingrid Torrance

Russell Porter

Burkely Duffield

Apart from Ghost, this is a number 2 movie with outstanding characters and story line.

Last night I watched 'The Accidental Husband' on my sons X-Box, followed by 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging', both rom-coms and both were amusing. I enjoyed watching them, especially the latter. I didn't realise Eastbourne was so stunning. :)

What did you think of 'Knowing'? I really enjoyed the beginning but felt the end was really lame. It's such a shame because it spoiled a really good film.

IDK wouldn't say it was lame. With them only taking the children to procreate made sense to leave dad behind. Cage reuniting with a family he hadn't seen in years, was a cool way of going out. We enjoyed watching it. This Cage movie was far better than Ghostrider.

My Sisters Keeper

Cameron Diaz is a real bitch. She has a daughter that develops cancer so she gets pregnant with another thats been genetically modified to be used as a donor for the sick child. That child sues the bitch to be medically emancipated from being forced to donate organs and poked with needles and such.

Cameron Diaz is a very bad person.

I watched 'inglorious b*stards' with Brad Pitt in. What a funny title i felt embarrased asking for it at the rental shop. It was a great film though. It was like re-writing history showing Hitler gettting asasssinated i am not sure if some of the facts were true to life but it was an amazing idea to oust the bad men out of power!

Loved that movie. I just watched another Tarentino movie last night - From Dusk Till Dawn. It was a pretty fun movie but not his best.

Last one I watched at the theater was "Men who stare at Goats"

I loved it. Brought back some memories.

(Glad I found those brain cells. Though I'd lost them. )

"Up in the Air", and "Avatar" are on the list for this week.

While channel surfing at the hotel, I came across one called, "The Visitor"

Heavy.

Yeah I saw Death Proof. It was alright. My favorite part was actually the fake trailers they had going between DP and the zombie movie.

I saw Avatar yesterday. I thought it was good, the kids loved it.

We saw it in 3D, but it does not really make that much of a difference as the movie is not the 3D type with stuff flying out of the screen at you. I would have been just as happy to see it in normal screen. In fact, after a couple of hours the glasses were a bit of a pain.

Enjoyed the show, very entertaining although the story line was pretty basic, kind of a Star Wars meets Pocahontas story line. The special effects and quality of the imagery was fantastic and I would say it is well worth seeing on the big screen and the moral of the story is good, so overall it is a good evening at the movies.

2012. Abysmal waste of a special effects budget. Far too long. Just didnt care about the characters. 2/10

I agree. Though the scene of LA sliding into the sea was nearly worth the admission price.

They shouldn't have killed off the Russian bimbo and the Plastic surgeon. They were the two characters they developed the most.

Saw 'Up in the Air', last night.

Somewhat of a disappointment. Not because it was a bad movie, per se'

But, they took a book that was a wonderful rant, a la H.S. Thompson, and turned it into a touchie-feelie thing about relationships.

Clooney did a great job, in spite of all that.

Probably worth the admission price if you can get the 'old fart' discount.

Absolutely. The technical advances are a quantum leap from the original Star Wars and far beyond anything the S W sequels ever accomplished. And the 3D was the best I have ever seen.

It wasn't gimicky like most of the 3D to-date, but the imagery just supported the scenes.

The visuals were AMAZING!!!

And the plot was, while a bit predictable, strong enough to keep the thing going.

They still have some work to do on the humanoid torso movements to be truly natural, but they are getting there.

I've never seen 3D, it was overwhelming, the insects, plants, forest, aliens, animal creatures, everything was just spectular!

i thought it was a magnificent story and was shocked just how fast the 3 hours flew by!
