Right, you lucky lucky punters, stroll up and gawp. Odds like these don't grow on your uncle's whatsits, I can tell you.

First up we have Cheryl's Perils, the little ladies, every one a winner except they stand no chance at all. This is a man's world, remember?

So

Diana Vickers, Mentored by Cheryl, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 2,000 casino dollars

Laura White, Mentored by Cheryl, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 3,000 casino dollars

Alexandra Burke, Mentored by Cheryl, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 5,000 casino dollars

Then there's the pretty boys and that odd remaining band

Austin Drage, Mentored by Simon, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 8,000 casino dollars

Eoghan Quigg, Mentored by Simon, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 12,000 casino dollars

JLS, Mentored by Louis, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 20,000 casino dollars

and finally the outright losers, the no-hopers, the lame ducks

Rachel Hylton, Mentored by Dannii, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 25,000 casino dollars

Ruth Lorenzo, Mentored by Dannii, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 50,000 casino dollars

Danny Evans, Mentored by Dannii, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 200,000 casino dollars

Place your bets while they're still warm, once they're with the undertaker you're too late.

Okay, here's how we do it.

For Cheryl we have three odds added, 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/5 = 31/30 and we round it to 1:1

For Simon we have 1/8 + 1/12 = 5/24 and we round it to 1:5

Louis stays at 1:20

For Dannii there's three runners still, 1/25 + 1/50 + 1/200 is all the same really, 1:15

So,

Cheryl, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 1,000 casino dollars

Simon, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 5,000 casino dollars

Dannii, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 15,000 casino dollars

Louis, you stake 1,000 casino dollars to win 20,000 casino dollars

Settlement of accounts is within seven days of the decision being announced in the newspapers. Once the result of the bet's known, either you pay me or I pay you within a week.

Once the bet's registered in the thread it's here on record. I might need telling if someone's won, I'm scarcely likely to know if I'm just left to myself to find out. The house limit on any one pay-out is a million casino dollars, the house of spot has no insurance beyond that value.

I’ll put 20K on Laura, what a fantastic singer.

Diana Vickers drives me nuts with all that hand to the face garbage movements. I think people will get bored with her soon. I am not betting on her at all.

I will put 10K on Alexandra: fantastic!

I will put 5k on Rachel, if she can hold it together she will do well, but she is a high risk.

Get rid of all of the guys, they are wimps and cry like babies.

Id like to place $1000 on Diane and $1000 on JLS winning X-Factor.
