A word of advice anyone?

I've met this guy online a while back and we've never met. He's in a financial crisis right now and he has asked me to loan him some money. According to him, he's completely broke because he's lost his life savings gambling it all away. I don't like him gambling, smoking and drinking, he has all three of the five bad habits that I don't want in a guy. But there's also a part of him that I've come to like just like James sigh. I agreed but now I'm beginning to have second thoughts. I'm one of the people who trusts people way too easily and I have been hurt before because I trust people way too easily. I can load him some money but I also know that I will have a super hard and difficult time asking him to pay me back. I think I trust him enough to loan him the money. I also know that if I do loan him the money, it's a really risky thing to do. If I do loan him the money how do I know that he'll pay me back for sure? But how do I know for sure? We're supposed to be friends and he thinks of me as his girlfriend. He says he can't wait to see me and ask me out on a date, he's currently in new york right now, living with one of his friends. Lately he doesn't have a phone so the only way he could call me is for him to use his friend's phone and he has call me. Sometimes I could call him too hoping that he would pick up the phone. Other times we would just email each other. I don't know what kind of relationship that I'm having with him right now. Any suggestions anyone? Word of advice maybe?

Yeah. Don't give him any money unless you're sure you won't care when you never see it again.
There are men (and maybe women) like this everywhere including online. He'll use up your money just like that of everyone else he's conned. hhe may even have other "online girlfriends" that he's giving the same sob story to.
No, this guy isn't like James. Nobody is. So just accept that before it causes you more grief by making you think this other dude is special servings.
What I really want to say, hopefully without offending you, is "don't be prey to a sucker." Say no, you can't loan him any money. Then see if he changes his tune about you.

Like everyone else said here, leave it. Don't contact him again or allow him to contact you. Its an extremely unwise idea to talk to him again.

If he's on this site and asking you for money, report him. If he's on another site, I would imagine they would appreciate the same heads up.
Have you ever considered associating yourself with normal guys? Just another avenue to explore:rolleyes:... I've been considering it myself some lately...

Good advice here, stronggirl. If you are really not sure if you should send him money or not, it's time to look at yourself. Use common sense. Sorry, if I seem a bit hard, but there should be no conflict in your mind whatsoever.
On the world-wide-web super-highway, always proceed with caution.

First do this.
1. Report him
2. Don't go back to the site.
Ask yourself these questions??
3. Why would you send money to someone you haven't seen face to face? even then don't do it.
4. Why is he spending hours online begging for money when he could be out working to make up what he threw away gambling?
5. Do you have money you never want to see again, because you will never see the money you give him again, much less hear from him again?
HE IS A CON RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION.

Either this post is a joke or you just like to let other people know how dumb some people can be, did you take a mortgage recently with a payment equal to 95% of your gross income? Stop making excuses that you are just a person who can't say no or you "can't" ask for the money back. Of course, you can, but your chances of getting it are non existent.

So do half the joke-players on the Internet who aren't. I wondered whether anyone had a good reason to, that's all. She doesn't sound like one in the slightest.
This is the second time I've called fake on someone. I was wrong last time. It took less than twelve hours to convincingly demonstrate and wow, did I look stupid.

spot strikes a match in the pitch-dark thread, hears scrabbling claws and panicked squeaks, then sees dozens of eyes reflect the glow from behind overturned barrels, cobwebbed cupboards, cracked skirting and drifting dust-motes

Then sit back and watch his reaction. Then you can play him for a while instead of him playing you.
Or better yet, tell him your father the 'US Marshal' will bring him the money, then pm me his address and I'll go pay him a visit!:wah:

Tell him there's a dead cert running in the 2.30 at Cheltenham. It's going to win so if he lends you £5,000 for your bet, you'll split the winnings with him.
If you are for real........ then your the reason men think us women are dumb.
