The US today put their London Embassy on the market.

The Embassy, in Mayfair, is to be replaced by a new building in Wandsworth, South London.

In part, the move is designed to place the US diplomats outside the congestion charge zone to remove one of the major bones of contention with the British Government.

Well, I must admit I'm happier living in Whitechaple than I would be in Wandsworth but I'll accept the not everyone has the same taste.
