Since China has billions of trillions of foreign reserves and US debts, Should China help US in the economic crisis? What do you think if China's CITIC takes over Morgan Stanley. That guy who is totally angry in the end in the video said Morgan Stanley is a National Treasure of the US.He can't beceive the US government would allow this.(I feel a bit proud haha)

What I know is If US economy slows down, it would affect China economy too.We are strongly linked now.(No more cold war!)

I think that its inevitable that the US economy is going to slow down and so is Europe, Japan, and China and India as well. Being a European, I wouldn't have a strong opinion about whether the Chinese should take over Morgan Stanley as its a private company and this would be a business decision.

However, there would be issues about what sort of direct influence the PRC would have in the running of a a major Western investment bank. Its my guess that the Chinese wouldn't expect to be able to have any direct control over the running of the bank, as obviously that would be unacceptable and would instead be happy to simply be a major shareholder and hold the bank to its own rules, and the new regulations about investment banking that are certainly going to be brought in by the US government.

It is a sign of the times though, and it shows that the financial system is global not just an American system (as it was more or less in 1929).

The more you stimulate domestic consumption the more your industry will thrive. Your exports to non-dollar economies easily pay for your import requirements. The wealthier you can make the lowest paid half of your wage earners the more independent you'll get from external market fluctuations. China needs to adjust where it sells its goods if it's to avoid damage from trade boycotts by an increasingly desperate US government. If you can reduce their economy to the point where they can't pay for a global armed force any longer that'll be a bonus for everyone.

I say no.

Today, it's Morgan Stanley. Tomorrow, it will be Morgan Freeman. The next day, Morgan Fairchild.

Where does it end ?

Don't worry Accountable we don't all dislke America as much as our Welsh friend, though ye are not exactly covering yourselves with glory at the minute it has to be said. Still, lets look on the bright side, the Chinese are very good at dealing with business leaders that get up to no good, it usually involves a quarry, a hood, and a couple of bullets. Now who can argue that there aren't a few firms on Wall Street that could do with a summary execution once in a while.
