I want to go on vacation, but having trouble deciding on where to go. What do you all think would be the best place to go for Me and My girlfriend on a Romantic getaway? Perferably out of the USA. Money is of no concern.

How about Hong Kong? It's a great place to visit, I was there this time last year and loved it. The good thing about it is that it isnt all city (but what a city!) there are beaches to visit, the night life is great and the people are very friendly and language is'nt a problem.

If that is'nt your cup of tea, then how about Greece? The island of Kefalonia (where Captain Correlli was filmed and where the book was set) is also beautiful, just avoid August as its too hot and crowded. In fact any of the Ionian islands are great, very laid back or very lively, it's up to you as there is something for everyone.

Keep well. :-6

Well, Im surprising her. She has no idea of what is coming up. I plan on springing it on her at the last minute so she wont have time to ponder where we are going. I think that this trip, is the trip where I pop the question. We all know what that is.....right! I want it to be the best time of hers and my life. We've taken some pretty good trips in our short time together and they are all great. But I want this to be by far the best.

Dont forget though, if you are gonna go to certain places she'll need her shots..

The British Isles is a lovely place to visit ( not forgetting Southern Ireland ) and ya wont need your shots!!

Or the south of France or southern Spain is truly magical, wherever you go i'm sure will be special if you plan to "pop the question"

Good luck to you.

Really romantic, RSF. What about Australia? Is she an "outdoorsy" type? Italy is really romantic, too. Let us know what you decide, ok? Lots of romantics here who'd love a good story...

Yeah Australia crossed my mind, but already taken her there....so thats out. Im just trying to decide if I want to do the whole Tropical paradise thing again, or do the Winter-Wonderland trip. Either way would be fun. Ill have to do some more browsing on the net and see what really jumps out at me....and I think she'd like.

She's really into Art History and things like that. But looks like the Paris Hilton type.

Phuket Island & anyone of the first class resorts. The tsunami did not harm the beach or any of the facilities where the Sheraton is located. They are offering some HUGE discounts on air (getting there) and luxury hotel accomodations. My wife and I are booked in for mid April. Do a Google Search on Phuket Island to see the post tsunami pictures of the beaches etc., but don't go by the listed prices shown for the hotels.

Ah! If only i could describe to you the beauty of New Zealand! It is basically an all wilderness country, in which sheep outnumber humans 3 to 1. New Zealand is so beautiful, partially because it has almost every climate in the world. An added bonus is that the U.S. dollar is almost double the New Zealand dollar! :)

At .72 USD to the Kiwi dollar, that's not quite half. Also, fall is here and it's getting cold. I love NZ, but will be glad to get back to the warmth of Ca.
