Off to school now to watch a Music Recital that my six year old daughter is singing in. Doors officially open at 1.45pm but you have to be there early to do battle with the groups of mums that always hog the best seats year after year. They employ amazing tactics to secure these seats, one womans parents in law were sat outside forming the beginning of the queue at eight am this morning :wah:

What's your tactic, rip the mum's sweater's off and during the confusion steal their seat ?

It's sad to see, one family = mum, dad, gran, grandad, two aunts and an uncle take the whole first row year in year out. It wouldn't be so bad but the invitation does say 'please respect the fact that all parents like to see their children perform and due to the lack of seats available please keep guests to a minimum'. The child they all came to see performed in one thing. The lad that stood up and sang a solo most beautifully, his poor parents were huddled at the back peering through the door witnessing their sons final performance at our school as he leaves next week to go on to secondary school.
My daughter sang three songs in the infant choir and did a great job, bless...

Something like that, yes.
Although Chonsi's idea is best, I'll remember that one for next time! :wah:
