Dicaprio needs an Oscar

Now when i remember how famous Dicaprio was during the late nineties and how i thought about him, i feel ashamed.
That time i thought it was much ado about almost nothing (a teenager with no exceptional talent) and the Academy didn't pay him any attention.
Then i watched The Beach (still late 90's)and i felt sympathetic but without a bit of admiration (there was a little role for Robert Carlyle and i felt so bad because it was too short).
Last year i fell upon Departed and i found myself watching a great actor; not only playing with the most "oscarred" oscar-winner (who is Jack Nicholson 3), he really was his equal .
After playing with two times oscar-winning Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York, Dicaprio followed with another great movie which is Aviator . All those films are outstanding but all of them directed by Scorsese.
Blood Diamond , for which he was nominated to the Oscar was directed by Zwick (reknown for his Ghost) and proved that Dicaprio could work with directors other than the Scorsese and make a great performance.
Having worked with icons like Nicholson and Day-Lewis , i think Dicaprio (already two nominations including one for Aviator) is ready for his Oscar.
