Good grief! What is the matter with people?? How does this happen? What snaps in someone's head that they are capable of doing this? And why didn't the grandmother know about this?

People called the police but other than that they did nothing to stop it. The police shot and killed the man. The coroner said they would have to indentify the toddlers body with DNA.
Granted I only read a little blurb if that is even partially accurate it says a hell of a lot about society.
That's true, Scrat:

I know...they let a defenseless child be beaten to death. Like some of us said elsewhere no one had a tire iron? Car jack?
Back to MrsK's article, I can't grasp what's missing from those people's minds. She was sick and didn't change or feed the kids? So long that they died? And they just left them there to molder like trash pickup hadn't come by yet?
Honestly, I don't mean to be all negative, but our society is failing. It is a sick, sick, society. I was hung up on the child who'd been beaten, couldn't get him out of my mind and now this too. I don't understand and that's a good thing. I never want to be at any point where i understand the thinking of monsters like these.

Imagine how the poor child who found them is getting on an 11 year old poor baby.

I would think if anyone had tried to intervene to help out a defencless child the man would have been out cold.Stuff the consequences as long as the child was safe.
Bloody sick world we live in.

Oh man! Now that i have read the update I am even angrier!I understand there's postpartum depression in some and that sometimes mothers snap and kill their kids because of it but that doesn't even fit here. Selfish? Yes! The fat thing, well, she just had some kids, it's supposed to be there! And she can't cope with them? Then don't have them to start with! She obviously coped three other times!
Why couldn't she pick up the phone and call the grandmother for some help? Why wasn't the grandmother already involved? Does she live far away? Where was the dad in all this?
