The European Parliament in Brussels is to ban advertising on Medicines and Therapies with EU Member States. It called today at a conference on Patients Rights, that the general public were less informed and consquentially at greater risk of ill health from advertisements.

Medical reps will try anything..... :rolleyes:.....now hell bent on targeting nurses who can lawfully prescribe meds, by offering of luxury weekend conferences to entice them to flog their wares.

The worst ones are the Baby formula reps. You wouldn't believe the tricks they get up too. Some even try to tempt mothers to buy 'follow on formulas' with all sorts of 'essential' additives such as iron etc, and worst of all is that some people believe them.Even the local GP is enticed to the weekend away conference. Its all a big fad. In the end its all about money. Some guys will go all the way to make a buck

Sounds an awful lot like censorship to me. What's next, the EU gonna protect you from confusion in literature, or religion?

Yes, I can see the EU (Europe) becoming yet another Dictatorship in the coming years just ahead.
