I would think it would be hard to find information on slavery in America today....its not politically correct...and well Abraham Lincoln took care of all that nonsense!

I live in the county were the book/movie "Roots" was originated in, was just telling the kids that the other day.

The PC version of slavery is the wage slave.

Some called it free enterprise, but nowadays if someone benefits, someone looses, apparently.

Of course that is the basis of trade........you sell something....

Olde worlde tymes.....literally............ lives were traded.

These days..............hours of your life, for a wage.

Are you winding us all up Omni ?

Skittles,

Be very careful to fully quote all internet references that you use, in your assignment. Internet pages change frequently and the tutors need to be able to reference them accurately. They can accuse you of plagiarism if your references are not exact and available for checking.

Just thought I'd give you a "heads up". :)

What a very strange thing to say. Do you really believe that such things get censored?

http://gvnet.com/humantrafficking/USA.htm

http://www.iabolish.org/slavery_today/usa/index.html

I suppose there are those who would like to believe it is something only foreigners do-or in our case mainly east Europeans.

slave

• noun 1 historical a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them. 2 a person who is excessively dependent upon or controlled by something: a slave to fashion.

Interesting-so someone objecting to people having the right to strike is in reality stating his right to control stating they object to slaves getting stroppy.
