hello welcome along again to grumpy towers.
you,re becoming quite a regular visitor are,nt you?
never the less you always get a warm welcome here.
and so to tonights little news item.
two policemen who where forced to resign in to the handling of the peter woodhams case have been reinstated by the met.
the pair where forced to quit for failing to properly investigate a knife attack on peter woodhams aged 22, a few months before he was shot dead outside his home in east london in august 2006.
mr woods had been subject to a 7 month campaign of harrasment and bullying prior to his death.
his family said had the police investigated the attack properly he may not have been killed.
in his case investigation review the commisioner stated that although serious the failings did not amount to gross negligence.
the constable was docked 13 days pay and the sergent reduced in rank to a constable.

this must be the biggest load of horlicks i have ever heard talk about a kop out,
the idea of joining the police force is to uphold the law and protect the public
yet these two officers could not be bothered to investigate a serious crime and now it has cost yet another life HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT?
peter woodhams endured 7 months of harrassment and torment before he died
yet no one was taken in to custody for it he was also attacked with a knife have the police arrested anyone ? not on your nellie.
which ever toe rag did this is walking around london knowing he,s got off scot free
as has the gunman who killed peter.
then to add insult to injury the commissioner came out with although serious it does not amount to gross neglegence hollyhocks.
the two oficers should have been sacked along with the commissioner and warned they could face criminal charges along with the commissioner.
yet the establishment closes ranks and nothing is done it will be just quietly filed away when the fuss has died down.
no wonder the laws a joke.

Without having the facts available to the inquiry how can we possibly know the right and wrong of it?
Was the allegation well founded or was it an expression of grief on the part of the families?
Was the initial response a knee jerk reaction in an attempt to avoid bad publicity?
Did the two officers in fact investigate but failed to find sufficient evidence to pursue a case?
Is the decision by the inquiry a whitewash and a cover-up after the ho-ha has died down?
We have no way of knowing without facts and no amount of emotive writing will prove a thing. The fact that, even after the murder and the bringing in of other officers, no culprit was found either suggests that the entire Police force were complicit in the murder (unlikely) or that the evidence was not available to obtain a conviction - it wouldn't be the first unsolved murder on the books.
To accuse the Commissioner of perjury and criminal activities with no evidence to back up your claim is irresponsible at the very least.

this may be a kneejerk reaction but this is a total joke 7 months of bullying and harassment and a knife attack yet nothing is done untill peter woodhams is murdered then the constable and sergent in charge are quietly reinstated.
then the commissioner comes out with although serious the findings did not amount to gross neglegence what a load of tripe of course its gross neglegence or isnt harrassment or assult with a deadly wepon serious enough these days
and for the constable to be docked 13 days and sergent to be reduced in rank is a sham,
i have at no point accused the commisioner of perjury or criminal activity that is you putting words in that are not there.
i agree that this would not be the first unsolved murder on the books but if we cannot rely on the police to protect us who can we rely on ?
the woodhams have been let down by justice and the toe rag guilty of these crimes is still free .
PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR SITUATION .

After a full and thorough investigation the commission has come to the conclusion that, although serious, there was no evidence of gross negligence whereas you, on the basis of a very iffy couple of column inces in the Sun can determine that this is a total joke, a sham, the biggest load of horlicks you have ever seen and a kop out. Further to this you do accuse the Commissioner of perjury at the very least by claiming that he should be sacked and face criminal charges.
People, when they have lost a loved one, often try to work out how and why it has happened by laying blame for the death - often on themselves but often on outsiders. In this case there is a ready made outsider for them to blame - if the Police had done this that or the other them my husband would be alive today. Remembering that the inquiry would have been run by a different force from the one accused, you have no evidence to make such sweeping and serious allegations of Police corruption.

By all means present your evidence
Don't you imagine that's exactly what the writers on the piece wanted you to think - how does it feel to have been manipulated?
They have no evidence for what they are trying to suggest and imply, they just rely on the biased thinking of their readership to carry it through.

To be fair.....there was a widely publicised case not long back.
A London young parent, being picked on by local scumbags who dealt with it himself, and ended up dead.
But that is not what AA is about.....he is just a windup merchant.
I tried that link Abbey.....dont laugh
