Has anyone subscribed to this magazine...I love it.
I'm having a dinner in about 2 weeks for my Italian friends and will post a menu when I've completed it for anyone interested....Sorry Cher honey:-4 I'm stealing your stuff:-6
I've just made a delciious coffee for dessert....
"Caffee Alla Valdostana"
~makes 6 drinks~
Ingredients:
** hot freshly brewed epresso coffee 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons**
** sugar 1/4 cup
** clear grappa (80 proof) 5 oz
** grand marnier 3 and 1/2 oz
** absinthe 3 and 1/2 oz
** lemon peels
* In a small saucepan, stir together epresso and sugar. Add grappa, grand marnier and absinthe; stir well. heat over medium heat just until mixture is warm and sugar is dissolved...don't boil...remove from heat.
Squeeze 1 lemon peels into a flame over the expresso miture, spraying the top with lemon essence. Garnish with lemon peels and serve warm.
Enjoy...yummy.
