Todays Derby was the nearest match to the anniversary of the Munich air crash that took the life's of 8 Busby Babes.
I floated to the match and came home with a heart of lead, never has a match meant so much to me. :-1
Every seat (75000) had a scarf and a copy of the first match after the munich air disaster that ripped the heart out of Manchester.
A lone piper led out the teams along with 23 mascots, each bearing the name of the 23 that died in the crash.
The two teams had replica shirts of the 1958 era, the two managers each lay a wreath at the centre of the pitch.
A minutes silence was held, each and every supporter held our scarves high and prayed that city would respect the moment,
(thankfully they did.)
It was downhill from then on!
Poor defence, little sign of attack, I hate to say it but the best team on the day won.:-1
