An intruder with refined tastes who broke into a house in Ohio treated its owner to an impromptu recital of Beethoven piano music. The 'Toledo Blade' newspaper reported how New Riegel's police chief Steve Swarzmiller was ready for trouble after he was woken up by the sound of someone breaking through his front door. The police chief grabbed his gun and headed for the living room where he found Shawn Chadwell sitting at the piano. "He got up, and the chief told him to sit right back down, and then he started playing", a policeman said, reading from an incident book report. Chief Swarzmiller remarked that the intruder 'Played beautifully' The house-breaking pianist was later charged with burglary.
