Disturbing trends in the moral behavior of those over 50 are increasing coming to light. The Sunday Times UK reported that in Britain and Ireland, "the divorce rate among couples in their fifties and sixties is rising sharply, no surprisingly,this trend has been accompanies by growing promiscuity among seniors".



They feel that they may have had a mispent youth, when they see their children at it in their teens and twenties.

According to the Dept of Health in Britain, it is reported substantial increses in most types of STDs in women over 50.

well divorce and STDS aside....increased promiscuity in over 50's? ....good news indeed.

God, I hate being the wet blanket all the time. But here goes.

Infidelity? Didn't these people take vows? What ever happened to personal honor?

I've always thought of honor and dignity as gifts from God. Gifts that cannot be taken away, they must be surrendered willingly. Why are people so quick to give them up?

What answers do they think they will find in cheating on their wives or husbands.

Who's cheating? i think the original post was about couples getting divorce & then painting the town red trying to catch up on their mispent youth & bloody good on em!!

I read it as the promiscuity was the reason for the divorce. If I'm wrong, Well I'm getting used to it. I'm starting to make a regular habit of being wrong.

I live next door to Sun City, equally famous for the life style of it's 55+ inhabitants, as its golf courses. There was an article in the paper a while back, seems the 30-50 year old managers were having a "hissy" about the elders using the fairways at night as a "lovers lane". Apparently there have been some "high speed" golf cart chases, and [overage??] drinking. On the "good" side, the seniors do not clutter, but carefully place their discarded bottles, and condoms in the trash cans.



Rewind a few years, substitute more eastern golf courses, and teenagers; you have the same story except we were'nt as tidy, and the discarded drink containers of much lesser quality than the brands found in Sun City.



Is this exclusive to my generation, or are the "golden years" getting much brighter through chemistry.

The 'promiscuity' part bothers me , if the folks are not careful. ( STD's, AID's,etc.)

"Middle-aged" sex can be great in a monogomous relationship.

Hey I just think it a great thing to see that once we hit 50 there is still hope for our sex drives teee hee heee
