recently i have started hearing really loud popping noises inside my head, like being struck with something.
Any idea what it is?
Does anyone else have it?
It doesnt hurt but does make me jump a bit.

Do you grind your teeth?? Sometime if you grind your teeth you can have a popping noise in your jaw, or a clicking sound.

sounds like Wax in yours ears. I would talk to your doctor and get them syringed .... but whatever it is you are best to talk to your doctor anyway.

i just found out what it is - look up Exploding head Syndrome on the web - I just came across it, but that's exactly what it is!
