Sheryl posted a interesting thread on the Willard Suitcases and I relplied with a topic raised on the BBC called Bulgaria's abandoned children.

Forgive me for repeating, however I feel that this topic deserves it's on post.

Unfortunately even today there are unbelievable stories that would absolutely shock you. The attached link is a BBC documentary about child care in Bulagria.

Now, Bulgaria is not a backward country, although they are still developing economically they are full members of the EU.

I was so shocked by this I complained to the Bulgaria Embassy as well as contacting my local political counsellor. The issue was raised as a result of the documentary in the Irish Parliament.

This will shock you:

I'm only 20 minutes in and just cannot understand why these kids are in that condition. To me, so much seems like simple fixes, but probably just an outsider looking in.

I'm going to continue to watch it, bit by bit.

It is unreal. Also, out of all of the so called 'carers' only one of them is a man..and who do you think get to shower the girls? You guessed it.

I saw that, and it was not right! Nor the locking them in those rooms at night. Very disturbing!
