Has anyone seen this? I recorded the first series last night and it's one of the funniest things I've seen...written by Graham Linehan who co-wrote Father Ted.

More 4, Betty. It's the second series tonight, in one run.

As I get older and grumpier, it takes a lot to make me laugh, but this just had tears streaming down my face :wah: It's brilliant.

Oh that's annoying, Betty. I was feeling rubbish earlier and it did me no end of good to laugh like I did just now...wish you could too :-6

I watched the initial episode when it was first shown and, like you, Lemon, I thought it was okay but I didn't watch any others. Then last night's television was so dire, I thought I'd record the series...I'm so glad I did because I've warmed to the characters... and the humour, though surreal (like Father Ted) at times, is brilliant.

Now that freeview boxes can be picked up for £15, I got a second one and put it with the upstairs tv.Maybe you could do that with a cheap secondhand tv?

I've thought about that, have you got it plugged straight into your aerial then? I have no aerial connections in my living room let alone upstairs lol this is a private rent so if I want the aerial up and running its down to me.

oh i see, i don't know how it works, but someone somehow split the tv ariel for me so that there is an output in three different rooms, the upstairs bedroom, the lounge, and the dining room.So yes mine is plugged into the aeriel.

Otherwise, there is a thing you can buy for the computer for £20 from amazon which apparently gives freeview, i dont know how good the reception is though, i looked into it before deciding to get another tv, but if it works i may get it for using with the computer on the move.

The guy who plays the nerdy black computer guy also plans Thornton Reed in "Garth Marengi's Dark Place" which is absolutely hilarious and one of the funniest things I have seen in ages, you gotta check that one out. :wah:

I haven't heard of it...which channel? If it's anything like IT, lead me to it, and quickly, please :-6

Did you see the episode of It where Jen was having to go outside to smoke and they made it like a Russian prison camp compound, or the one where nerdy black guy told that bloke she was dead?

I've had a good picture on Freeview through an indoor aerial with a booster box.

Yes "Garth Marenghi's Dark Place" You should google it, or look for it on youtube, its a couple of years old now, its hard to describe what it is, its a spoof 1980s British horror/sci-fi show set in a hospital in Romford where a doctor (who also fights paranormal entities using heavy weapons) inadvertently opens the gates to hell, its filmed to look like the professionals or sapphire and steel or one of those 70s sci-fi shows, its utterly hilarious.

To give you a flavour of what its like here are some of the episode titles

"Hell Hath Fury"

"The Apes of Wrath"

"Skipper the Eye Child"

"Scotch Mist"

Stay Holy.

Amen
