Overnight it was reported that 300 Turkish troops have made an incursion several kilometers into Northern Iraq to attack their Kurdish PKK enemies. This follows weekend bombing raids on the mountainous area by up to 50 Turkish fighter-bombers. What's people take on this latest twist in the Iraq saga?

Not only is the area strategically important but Iraqui kurds also can lay claim to oil the amerixcans need turkish support. I think the west will hope the kurds just roll over and die without causing too many problems.

Not immediately relevant at first sight but it's almost as if they have been given the OK to do what they want. Hopefully the EU will not be so easily fooled. It's probably in a better position to hit them economically.
