I was watched Scooby Doo earlier today with my daughter. It was the episode where they had to rescue Cass Elliot (Mammas and Pappas) from the candy factory. During the show there were several fat jokes. My daughter never picked up on them. And made me think, I survived a non PC childhood, and I'm an ok person. :wah:

Can anybody recall any other cartoons that would be to non-PC for tv today?

I remember that episode and LOVED it!!! The one with the Harlem Globetrotters and the one with Cher in it were good too!!...sure there were more...just can't remember!:o

Oh please....I think a big fat grape ape would've been very un-acceptable nowadays....and Hong Kong fooey....I'm sure should've had a woman by his side that was equally skilled as him...

I'm glad you posted this...I've been laughing about something I heard on the radio yesterday, it's not old cartoons or shows, but it has to do with non-pc....I'll post it later....:D

Your looking at the person who when as a kid would fake naps, just so I was up in time to watch Scooby Doo when it came on in the afternoons. We didn't have cable, so the only cartoon that came on during the week was Scooby Doo at 3:00 in the afternoon. :D

My fave episode was one with the 3 stooges, the adams family, and Don Knotts. :D

I thought of Don Knotts....and speaking of Adams family...........now there is some major non-pc material....thats what made it so good!

I love Scooby Doo and have now got my son hooked on it as well. We watch it all the time either on t.v. or his videos :)The Boomerang channel is my fave cause they have so many of those older cartoons!

We named a cat after him....although it was a female cat...she was a stray and had a cut off tail, she was found on the side of the road, appeared to have been wild....she had REALLY potent gas...so she got the name "Pepe La-ppppooooo" from us....

I'm sure that is cruel and unusual punishment for a cat....back in the late 70's, early 80's...everyone thought it was funny.:D

I love Boomerang too. Wish they would show bugs bunny cartoons though.

I know, that's sort of weird. On occasion, I've seen them, but it's very rare for some reason.
