Erm... well I had a roommate who was a stripper on the side... he did pretty well.

When I was attending what at the time, was the most expensive university in the US, I was working four jobs, one full time and freelancing as a consultant. It helps if you go into a career that'll help pay for the education, though. That's something that must be considered nowadays in the US, especially.

Do something mad ..........do you have note books for Class? if so sell sponsorship space on the cover for a few dollars a month.

Your books could read "this subject is sponsored by" then a list of the people that have sponsored you. If you have paypal even better you can remain safe.

University education is free in the Republic of Ireland. :-6

I was thinking of who you could approach and pretty much any business would work. They need the advertising and maybe you could work something out.

Do you drive a car? Hit up an auto shop. You could wear a magnetic sign on your car doors if they'll sponsor you for a certain amount of money. How much is a semester? Let's say one semester of sponsorship.

Beauty salons: get a cool new haircut or style and pass out their business cards at school, showing them what a great job they did on your hair.

Pizza Houses: college food staple! Pass out their flyers or wear a shirt with their logo on it in exchange for another semester of sponsorship.

Advertising isn't cheap and every business needs it. What you want to do here is be a walking advertisement for the businesses that will sponsor you.

Any business can be approached. Just go in and talk with the manager, explain your situation, tell them what you're studying and what you want to do with your degree and offer to advertise their business if they will sponsor some of your tuition. The worst they can do is say no, but it's worth trying.
