Hmm. Maybe cats' vocal cords change with age? Like people get a voice change when they get older? I don't know, Nomad. How is she otherwise?

Other than her voice she seems ok. Appetite is fine. Not lethargic.

Was this a serious question, Nomad? Sorry about that.
You know how old people get quavery voices? It's probably just like that with animals... she's an old lady with an old lady voice. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well when theyre 18 everything is critical. And it was sudden but after searching it seems laryngitis is fairly common.

Nomie Cats get cold just like us, and sore throats, runny noses.. I hope she will be OK. Since she is 18 I would have her looked at by a Vet if her voice doesn't get better. She doesn't go outside anymore I hope.. :-3
