I haven't seen real Tupperware for a long time. Is it still a big deal?

On Thanksgiving I took the time to organize my cupboard that has all of my containers in it....and there was a celebration afterwards, my sister in law, who had to live with me for a few months last year....had to sit down when I told her that I organized it and got rid of all the lids and bowl mis-fits...2 garbage bags full!!!

I just ordered new canisters from a lady at work this week! Redid the kitchen this summer and need something to store stuff in on the countertops.
They are way too expensive though!

LOL w/ Koan and @ Guppy :wah:
I have this old Tupperware bowl with a lid that somehow was left by an old ex that I love for it's kitsch appeal. I do know of people who collect that old stuff on Ebay and such... sometimes spending hundreds of dollars on a single item to accompany their collection.

I grew up with that style...we had the green though!!
Mom still has some of the old stuff....I am wearing out the stuff from a year or so ago already....can't imagine anything I have lasting for over 20-30 years

If you haven't seen a recent catalog, they now have spongbob and shrek kidsware and travel tumblers for adults.
I may have ordered one of each of those too:D

Mine predates that... seventies I believe? It has a somewhat transparent, flat top with a tab, and the bowl is rather transparent and yellow I think. That ridged thing with the orangy and yellow colour looks like eighties. Guppy? :-3
