Here are the links for Mini Me's first cut at a computer role-playing game. Download and install and test, please, he'd like feedback here so he can move on to the next phase.

Fetch and install the Runtime package from http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/tkool/RPG_X ... nload.html

Then right-click http://bs3.net/mimime/minime1.exe and run it to get the game to play.

Comments in this thread please, the prototype has activated arrow movement controls as a minimum. Wander around and see what he's built.

That's very odd, I can't see what's different but I edited it and now it works. My eyes are failing me I expect. It goes now anyway, either left or right-click on my browser.

Anyone else with troubles, shout - I didn't understand what caused that at all.

I will download tomorrow before my dentist appointment, this computer slows right down otherwise, then I start getting frustrated and bash the computer!

The first one is 27MB, the second is 250kB and shouldn't take long at all.

The first one takes 2 hours on a 28.8 kbps dialup connection, 4 minutes on a 1Mbps broadband link, 22 seconds on my 10Mbps link (thank you Richard Branson) and 2 seconds if you live in Tokyo.

I'm in! :)

That's what I did wrong, Spot. I didn't have it installed correctly.

These graphics are pretty neat. I'm not much of a gamer but I'm going to try this out for a while. What a fun thing! :)

Thanks for helping Minime with this. You are definitely on his 'Cool' person list. Game design is something he wants to get into. Trouble is the last time I was involved in software design was 13 years ago. After that I did project management for a few years. As you know the world of computers can move a long way in 13 years - so now I am clueless. :-2

Thanks again Spot.
