The So. Cal. fires have impacted the avocado crop:

Avocado

That picture looks so sad. I know it's nothing close to a person

losing their home, but still.

I read about the avacodos this morning. And it's sad, but first thing went through my mind, was about how high the prices are gonna rise on them. :o

You'll think that the next time you order guacamole at your favorite Mexican restraunt.

I think we might buy some of this:

We've had it before, it's very good, and I think you can freeze

it...

Oh I've eaten that. It is really good. I buy it when I'm to lazy to make homemade guacamole. :wah:

Avocados are on special here right now, and I bought three for $2 in the weekend. I'll eat them respectfully.

Depends on how much of those fields got burned, I wouldn't think too

much...

Usually when those go up it's beacuse we've had hard freezes...

A moment of silence please for the Avocados. I am upset by this because I can't say no to an avocado. I revere them. Plain out of shell sprinkled with salt. Perfect food. :(

I'd be surprised if the San Diego fires affect the shop price. One in five US-consumed avocados is home-grown, the rest come from Mexico. I think. I may be wrong. Someone tell me if I am.
