As you know onomatopoetic words are formed to imitate a sound. One way to add to this thread is to give your own new or original onomatopoetic word- the more stupid and embarrassing to confess the better! Or, if you are not maturity challenged like some of us, you may contribute some urbane and erudite observation from your vast knowledge of onomatopoetic words, like, which celebrities have names that are onomatopoetic? Or which birds have onomatopoetic names, for example. Quack doesn’t sound like the sound a duck makes. The Germans have it right. German ducks say “Meck.†Meck-meck-meck-meck-meck-meck-meck! Ever seen a Japanese onomatopoetic word? Those look very interesting!

I am just going to ease into this with something simple...like Meow.
Meow was surely a word to describe a cat sound
