Premiere tonight... anyone planning on watching? Aside from

all the controversy, I have read a couple of good reviews

of it.

I think I'll watch, at least the first one, I admit I'm a little

intrigued...

I didn't watch it Val, but I'd be interested in hearing what you thought about it. I haven't been too impressed by the media write-ups I've read on it.

I missed the 1st episode, but im eager to hear about how it went. Im not quite sure if im against or for the show. I guess I'll have to see it and get back to you guys on this one.

I thought it was very good. La, quit reading if you don't want a "spoiler",

okay? (Sometimes they show the first one again, you might still catch

it!)































A few things stood out for me: Early on, they had these carts to

transport supplies to the town, one of the boys got a pulled muscle,

other kids helped get him into a cart and off they went. A lot of the

older ones showed empathy and concern for the littler ones. At the

"town council" at the end, one of the older girls was quite critical

of the council. They were the ones who got to vote who got the

gold star (and $20,000!) and they gave it to this girl, because she

had worked hard for the group. I was rather surprised at that.



At one point, the council had a choice between getting more "privvies"

or a tv to watch. They chose the privvies.



I think there are some intelligent kids on this, and I will be watching

again. I understand what some are saying about it, but I found it

rather fascinating.

Oh ok Thanx Val, I ended finally seeing an episode. Its pretty good so far.

My daughter (6 1/2) likes the show. she has watched both episodes 3 times at least.she says she would like to do it too .I don't know if I would let her.only maybe if she was over 12. I think it's an ok show.the older boys are kind of mean I think.
