I was at work (Circuit City) in Houston. I was watching it on about 120 television screens. To my left was a man named Ameer from Pakistan, I saw the horror and tears in his eyes. I saw the fear cross his face as he realized that the people that had done this horrible thing looked just like he did. To my right was a man named Abutu from Nigeria. He fell to his knees and wept like a child. We had a friend that was on vacation, his first trip to New York, he was in the second tower when it fell. His body was never recovered. He was from Jordan. His name was Hashim. He was 19.

I was sleeping. My mom got me out of bed and said "Terri, we've just been bombed." I came out and watched the second plane make its hit.

I didn't say much. My best friend had been staying in a hotel near the Towers just two weeks prior. That's what I was mostly thinking of.

I was at home - I just woke up and started walking towards the living room, my husband stopped me - his eyes full of tears, told me the 1st plane crashed into the tower, I ran to the living room with panic and witnessed the 2nd plane crash.

I need to pause - as I'm crying now

I never witnessed my husband cry so hard as tears streamed down both of our faces watching the devastation.

We were vigilant at trying to reach my girlfriend in New York (her first plane ride, to see her new born granddaughter) - that morning they had planned to tour the Statue of Liberty - we cried and my husband & I were so relieved she was ok, we contacted her family - they couldn't reach her & she couldn't call out.

Terrible day

I was on my way to work at the car decal shop, and true to form the last one to get in to work, and they shop guys had a TV rigged up and speakers and we all stood in horrified awe watching the recap of it all

Later that day like I said before it got very creepy and eerie cause the planes had stop flying and the shop was right by our airport.

I still call it the day the planes stopped flying.

And when I took my delivery up near the airport I was truly proud about the fact our little airport was holding in our care 8 american jets for safety sake. WOW this makes the hair on my arms prickle still.

thanks glitter, in my eyes humans are humans and at that point and time when all the planes were ordered to land for safety reasons NOBODY judged what nationalities were on those planes. They were taken in to many airports and held safely.

There is what humankind should be about.

We have a cafeteria at work that has a big TV in it. I was at work in the office, heard folks talking about a plane that crashed into a building so I went into the cafeteria and watched the horror unfold as it happened. Later, I went outside and looked silently up at the sky and thought,"What's next?........Well, bring it on you MF's" I got angry. I wasn't talking to God.

I was at work, and I walked into the break room to get some coffee, and I saw the t.v. with a few people sitting around. I really and truely though that it was a movie on t.v.. All that I wanted to do was to get into my car and drive home to be with my family!

Well watched ML tribute again - cried all over again, good job and who doesn't love Elvis..

Red

Being the animal lover you are - did you see the Budweiser Tribute?

After watching ML's tribute theres a number of others to watch - Budweiser is one of them, I don't remember this commercial but then everything was so helter skelter. You'll like this.

I was on my way to exercise at a park, with a bunch of gym friends that were mostly either military or ex military and I couldn't believe what I heard. So, went to exercise with my friends and when the time came, someone brought it up and my friend that was leading the class said "no negative thoughts while exercising"--I thought how horrible is that? But of course went on to finish the exercise class...(we trained out in the field like military, basically) Then one of the people from the class heard on the radio that there was a bomb in a car in DC and that the Pentagon was hit, I got in my car and headed home. I remember seeing it on TV and standing in amazement...like Perfect Angel said, felt like I was watching a horrible movie....it was just devastating and still is to this day!:-1
