I was 15 (permit from school as well) The last day of school, Mom informed me that I had a summer job at her place of employment...and I rode to work with her and 4 other people Mon-Friday (for an hour and a half) to a place called "International Fabricare Institute" where Dry Cleaners send hard to clean fabrics and they analyze it, I was a clerk-typist and made about 4 bucks an hour, but hey...I worked!!:D:D

My Mom was one of the Fabric Analysts....she LOVED that job....

Technically, my first job was babysitting at 14, but the legal first job was as a waitress at 17. I worked there for one month, until a drunk man came in one night, ate his dinner and then proceeded to pee on himself, in the chair, and all over the floor - and then walked out leaving the mess for me to clean up. I quit then and got a job at a convenience store, where I worked for years, until I started in my current profession. I loved working there.

I was 14 and got a saturday job in Carricks, a bakers shop. I loved it and all the other staff were great to me cos i was the youngest, (and wasnt afraid to get rid of the mice:rolleyes:). I remember one day there though that was horrible! The shop looked out on to a very busy road, and this day i heard a screech and a thud and looked out of the front window straight into the blank staring eyes of a woman who had been knocked over. Her bone was sticking out of her leg as well, sorry i know this sounds a bit gorey:wah: but oh i can still see it so vividly! I thought she was dead but she didnt die thank god, she was just in shock which was why she had that horrible scary look on her face. The older women made me go and sit down in the back and have a cup of tea bless em.
