Rain, sickness, lack of medical care, poisoned acid and lack of food and water.
I watched a documentary on it and it was no bed of roses.

Does seem like it was a bit glorified doesn't it? When growing up I always remember thinking that those people were crazy....the older I get...well...I guess I'd have to have been there to judge if they were crazy or not....I remember seeing the mud and dirt...of course all of the Rock bands would've been cool:guitarist:guitarist

You can get anything you want at Alice's restaurant....
I've been to the town of Woodstock in the Catskills - it's kind of new age cum buddhist these days...

Me too Pam!!
What is your favorite part of the movie??
I am torn between the army segment and the Thankgiving Dump Fiasco.
Remember when that little teenaged girl wanted to sleep with Arlo because she always slept with rock stars and he gave her his scarf or something instead and said "Here...it's almost like we made it?" :wah: Aww, what a sharp guy. (who didn't wanna go to jail!)
I hated the ending, Pam. Alice looked so lost. I just hated it. I wasn't sure of the message- did time move on without Alice or was it time for Alice to move on?

I did love the army recruitment scene, but most of my memories now are based on the song, rather than the movie. I wonder if I can track down a DVD of that?

It's ironic that the song "Woodstock" was written by Joni Mitchell who actually didn't make it to the event.

Woodstock was cool back then, especially because The Band played....2 members still live in Woodstock and Levon Helm plays shows in his house! I went last year and it's awesome!
