GOAT PRANK
ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A senior prank got the goat of officials in Elko, Nevada. Three graduates of the Wells Combined School have been fined for letting goats loose in the building in May. The students had labeled the goats Numbers 1, 2 and 4, which left sheriff's deputies searching in vain for a nonexistent Number 3 goat. The former students have to pay about $350 each in fines and do 40 hours of community service. There was no damage to the school, but the goats did leave you-know-what behind. The mother of 1 student says the prosecution was a waste of the taxpayers' money. But authorities note the prank did waste the time officers who had been dispatched to the school.
