Say you have been invited round to a friends house for dinner, you take your first mouthful and it tastes disgusting... so..

Do spit it out and say it tastes disgusting?

or

Do you swallow and say nothing?

If you have any manners at all, you deftly use your napkin and spit it into it without making a scene or saying anything. You certainly don't just spit it out and you definitely don't tell them their cooking sucks.

I think you would have rather a full napkin by the end of your dinner

I think the thread title had the desired result.

I have only ever had one meal where the food was mildly unpalatable, I just ate what was on my plate and politely refused the offer of second helpings.

I also never took up any invites to go to this persons house for dinner again

i would have to spit it in the napkin,then make out i wanted to go to the bathroom and then empty the napkin.:wah:

my son when he first moved into his flat ,cooked me a meal





i took the first spoonfull it was horrible so much salt it was like sea water and i could tell it had chicken in it but to spare my sons feeling i kept my head down and ate it as fast as i could ,it was horrid





i finally finished and i was very close to throwing up





my son said dad i dont know how you could of eaten that i had an accident with the salt pot lid a whole tub of salt went in it and had to throw mine away doh doh doh doh doh :-5:-5:-5

I would swallow but make up an excuse not to eat anymore.

I agree with Red.Spit it out into your napkin without making a scene.

Eat what you can tollerate of the meal,and when asked just say that you werent very hungry tonight.

Jeezzzzzzzzzz was a bit worried bout this thread had to have a peek.Swallow then have a coughing fit so that I couldnt eat the rest cause my throat was to sore.heheheheheheheh

Neither. Id make one hell of a scene. You call this food ? You waste my time with this tripe ?

Id then proceed to scoop up a pile of whatever this crap is and throw it at the host mumbling something about the dog wouldnt deserve a meal like this. On the way out Id tip the goldfish bowl over.
