It's every posters right of course to either list or not list their Profile, but being able to read a posters Profile sure makes for better communication as well as understanding. Some prefer anonymnity, and other like me, let it all hang out. One of the first things I do when I start to read a new post, is to check the posters Profile. For example, I think I know Weeder a bit better and can appreciate her posts, having read her Profile. Of course, folks can choose to put anything they like on their Profile, and do. I tend to take less seriously,those posts from people that have either no Profile, or one that is completely off the wall. But, to each his own

I see by your Profile that you like biographies. Get a copy of the "Memoirs of U.S. Grant" ( a Civil War General and President of the U.S.). It's really a great read and considered one of the best ever written. I guarantee that you will like it.

BTW--------I didn't list that I was a pervert on my Profile. I am into insect porn.

I think just the opposite, I never look at profiles.

My profile has always been the same. Child, cancer, relationship, and family survivor.

Life has a way of freaking you out....so you have to go survive it.

Profiles are useful if you need to check gender. That would be useful in RL from time to time.

Only time i come across a profile is when im about to send the person a PM, at that point ive already decided i like them & know them reasonably well 'through their posts here on the board' Thats where i like to form my opinions.

If they have a photo thats nice, i like to put a face to a name.

Just tweaked my profile and the thing that I really noticed was how many friends and comment writers aren't actually in the Garden anymore. That's a real shame.
