Is this ethical?

It's just on my mind this morning.

I know I'd never sell or donate my eggs but I know some women would. For cash or for generosity.

What do you think? Yes, no, maybe?

I would donate, it's a wonderful gift being a parent and if I could help someone have the experience I would.

Would you feel like you were giving away a part of yourself or would it seem more like just donating blood?

I would donate my eggs for sure. I would not sell them. If I could help somebody who wanted a baby desperately then I would seeing as I have 5 of my own.

I think you would wonder if the egg was successful in becoming an embryo, but you wouldn't know as they don't tell you.

I did apply to do this when I was 20 as I needed fertility treatment they would help me at more hospitals if I would donate eggs, but because I hadn't had any children, the councilor didn't recommend that I donate.

I actually seriously considered being a surrogate mother at one time. If I knew I could handle it, I'd definitely do it! As far as being an egg donor, most definitely, I'd do it!

I could never be a sperm donor. I couldn't live with knowing I created a child out there somewhere and would never see it or know about it.

Im not against the idea but....... I'd have to know the parents.

Ive met a few psycho's in my time that want to be parents but cant conceive by themselves for whatever reason. The people im thinking of should not under any circumstances be parents. This is what scares me, that i could donate my precious egg & it be given to someone i completely disaprove of.

For sale? OK, I think.... however, I don't like the genetic anonymity there is. I don't suppose anything can be done about that.
