No pain NO gain!!
It shouldn't hurt for long...if your muscles aren't used to being used they are gonna let you know about it, but you need to continue...but not every day...every other day for weight training....every day for cardio is good!!
I know I know...practice what I preach Sista....

I just came back from the gym, walked about 5 miles, and lifted lots of heavy boxes all day. I feel great! Because tomorrow is the last day of school! :-6

I always liked the pain part.
Means you're doing something right, no?

I just started exercising again in the last 2 weeks after slacking off for a few months. I'm a bit sore, but that should be a lesson to me not to slack off! :wah:

I just working out last week. I'm in lots of pain too. I figured I should get in shape now, so I can eat all the turkey and pie I want during Thanksgiving. This way, I won't have to worry so much about gaining that holiday weight.

As time go's on and your muscles get a little used to the thrashing, it will go away and not last as long.

Yup! What's a little pain until you get back in shape? It's well worth the results in the end.

sorry to disagree mate but i been lifting for 10 years now,to get bigger you have to aim to increase the weight or reps each week,if you succeed then 24hours after gym the lactic acid burns, its tells you you hit the spots correctly.but it realy is a nice sort of pain, your worked muscles tighten and you feel strong as an ox!
