Well today my little foster boy Anthony comes back from having a few days with his dad and then on monday at 9am he leaves after 13 months of living with us, he was 5 days old when we got him. Having a party for him tomorrow.

Today I will be getting a 3 day old baby girl. Went out yesterday a bought some tiny pink things, so nice to buy pink instead of blue. Dont know what Anthony will think when he gets home and finds a baby in the house.:-3

That's a bit sad - it can't be good for him, can it, being pitched between pillar and post? That said, I'm sure you're doing a good & valuable job. Do your foster children have a relationship with the people they will go to eventually, en route to their distination, as it were?

I hope he won't be jealous! You'll have to make a fuss of him!

Well with Anthony he is going to his dad, so the last six weeks he has been having visits for the day then the last 3 weeks the sleep overs started. With going long term till they are 18 its more or less the same type of thing. They dont just leave me there is a slow hand over depending on how the child reacts but usually its very successful. Children adapt so much better than us Adults.

Yes I will make a big fuss over him I have missed him so much this week, he has been gone for 4 days. :-1

Wonderful, as well as moving. I am glad that there's a reasonable transitional arrangement - to give all (at least 3) parties a little time to adjust.

Oh how sad and also happy at the same time. Good he is so young otherwise he'd probably feel like he was being replaced with the new one arriving before he goes for good. How does someone give up a 3 day old? I can't imagine being in that awful situation. Thank goodness for special people like you. :D

It's a special kind of love that you give. It takes a special kind of strength. As a former foster kid myself,
