Her husband packed his bags and moved out.

Yes. I love her.

That's about all I have to say about it right now.

You love her as in yay she's single you're in love, or is this a sarcastic statement?

Has anything about the underlying reasons for the split changed? Even if things have changed, take it slow & watch out for yourself and your feelings.

Go wander around Home Depot and look at drill bits and wet saws. Thats what I do to unclutter.

But I might be insane so take my advice with a grain of salt.

What happened to the Lady you started to date?

Your in Love with your EX for who she was - not who she is.

Don't go back to comfy - go for Happy...

You may not remember why you divorced - Why is her current husband leaving?

Maybe they split because she realised that he was not the man you are. Everyone is entitled to a second chance & if you love her i dont see any problem giving it another shot, good luck hun, from what ive seen of you here you seem like a good guy ;)

Best of luck

Take time to sort this out in your head. Look at every angle, not just the one you want to see. And go carefully.

Where was she when you were recovering from your heart attacks?

I'm recalling this right, yes?

Did she ever offer you love or support during that time? Did she show any genuine concern? I hope you use this forum or some other as therapy. Start a journal or something to get all the thoughts out and try to make sense of them. I remember being ready to take back a very abusive man a year after I left him, just because I hadn't found anyone else and thought maybe no one else would ever love me. I was only 19 though.

This is one of the reasons I used to hate emotions. They make no freaking sense.

BAM!

And Koan closes the thread. Just when Buttercup was tickling my romantic:-4, Koan comes in for the kill with a heavy dose of reality.

For twelve days I lay in a hospital bed after nearly dying ALONE.

For four months I slept in the woods and she had the idiocy to call me and ask when I was going to see my son.

Forgiving her cheating on me, I have.

Forgetting about her cold lack of compassion. I did.

Thank you Koan.

Now on with your regularly scheduled forum.

Hmmm. Where's that redheads phone number.;)

Love's not easy to find. It's easier to pretend we already found it sometimes.

I'm glad you shared some of your past with us before so I knew what to say. You definitely deserve better, even if it takes a long time to find it.

Jacksdad

your comfortable - but lonely, you'll go to a movie with her - maybe out to dinner

she'll worm her way back into your life and you'll allow it.

she get back with you for a financial position and you'll welcome her back for the companionship. - its just what happens

mark my words it will happen - and its OK - if your OK with the situation.

if you go back you might as well do the same

i might come across a tad bitter here ....... that could be an understatement

You're on the money about her there, Patsy. But I know her for the Black Widow that she is. She'll not have an opportunity to sink those fangs in me again.

Good for you JD!!

I have the experience of marry-ing the same man twice and from personal experience...they may change for a while, and mine actually was good for about 5-7 years but eventually turned back into a horrible monster worse than the first time...and glad he's out of my life finally!! but went through 17 years of ups and downs and ins and outs and OY!! (and 3 beautiful boys-which I'm very thankful for).

I just hope the best for you JD, You've been through a lot and you deserve a good Woman to really love and care for YOU!!:-4

Wow WW3 I often wonder if ex's ever change. I am on the "never take him back" side of the coin.

Thanks everyone but really. I'm fine.

That Koan girl can deliver one hard slap to the face.

I'm quite comfortable being alone, I'm not lonely and in no hurry to be tied down again.

Anyway, on Sunday I took Nomads advice but instead of HD I went to the flea market.

There are far too many beautiful women out there for me to be wasting my life with my past.:D
