LOL, my family background's mostly Irish, Scottish & Welsh. Grandparents from those areas passed along British spelling which confused my parents. Then I worked for a British company for awhile. I like to use whinge instead of whine & sometimes throw in some thoroughly unnecessary Us. So I think we'll balance each other out

Actually, according to my dictionary, either way is correct, also as in dreamed and dreamt.

ARGH I use dreamt but always get confuzzled on the spelling. Predictive text on mobiles doesn't seem to know that one either. :-5 I put dreampt then it looks wrong but dreamt does too, although I know it's right. :wah:

Theatre is right, tonite instead of tonite I think is through texting, a lot of people put tomatoe and potatoe don't they. :wah: Moma is different to whoever says it. I say mum, some say, mom, mother, wench, lol.

Tonite is just the way I spell it; I have never in my life texted a single person. I loathe texting. The other spellings just depend on location usually. I also spell holler as hollar, one of my stories was titled "Spell check says hollar ain't a word".
