A bottle floats upon a wave
A message there inside
The message may seem trite at first
It merely says "I cried."
But with those words a fortress falls
That kept me safe for years
The only weakness in its walls
Was wrought by my own tears
But is it such a scary thing
To face the world unclothed?
To try and find compassion
For all the things I loathed?
And if an arrow strikes me down
I'm sure that I will heal
There are some chances I must take
If I want a world that's real.
